Independence Day, a National Festival in India is celebrated as an auspicious day! It is celebrated throughout India on 15th of August with great spectacle, joy and respect for Mother India. Be it any country, the national festivals are always cherished as the Golden day.

Independence Day is all about Freedom. And India gained its independence from British rule on this day! The British House of commons passed the Indian Independence Act on 15th August 1947.

Every year, with complete preparation the Indian Government celebrates the national holiday. On this day, you can witness the parades, bike stunts, and other interesting activities performed Indian Army at the Red Fort or India gate! The national flag is hoisted by the prime minister on the ramparts of the Red Fort, Delhi after which his speech is followed.

*PM Modi: I want to mention those women who have to suffer due to ‘Triple Talaq’- I admire their courage. We are with them in their struggles.

*PM Modi: We are nurturing our youngsters to be job creators and not job seekers.

 Hence this is how PM Modi addressed the nation from the Red Fort on this occasion. And then he concluded his speech with chants of Bharat Mata ki jai..Vande Mantram..Jai Hind.

On this day the sky is seen with Hundreds of colorful kites, balloons of saffron, white and green colors, the colors of the Indian Tricolor, in the air. No matter in which corner of the world the Indian’s are today, everyone has full-spirits because it’s a day to be proud of.

Four countries, namely South Korea, Congo, Bahrain and Liechtenstein, also mark their Independence Day on the same day as India on August 15. Hence, the #independenceday hashtag was quite popular.

With the world getting digitalized the way of showing patriotism is also digitalized in today’s generation. Where the internet and social media is easily available, people portray themselves with whole different persona. Rather than playing the actual part.
